Arabica Fries Kebab @ Marsiling Mall

Review: Fries Kebab @ Marsiling Mall
A recently opened stall at Marsiling Mall foodstall, this Arabica Kebab is a nice and different addition. Serving great tasting kebabs, I tried the Salad Kebab ($5) and Fries Kebab ($6). The portion is good and the chicken is grilled well. Definitely recommended for kebab lovers wanting a taste in a neighbourhood estate at local foodcourt prices.

Green Chilli Chicken Rice

Stumbled upon this food stall by accident and intrigue by the queue. So I tried the food and oh my was it different and delicious. The green chilli and the crackers made this chicken rice unlike any other chicken rice I have ever tried. Great in its own category. The chicken was served served in the traditional chicken rice cut and portion but more like ayam penyet style. So it was generous and I ended up ordering an extra rice (at just 50 cents, the chicken rice meal itself is a justified $5). I would come back to try this again and I recommend you to visit this place. It will be worth your time and trip.

Masala Thosai @ Al Azhar

Review: Masala Thosai @ 11 Cheong Chin Nam Road (Bukit Timah, opposite Beauty World)
Ordered masala thosai with ice lemon tea. The spices for the thosai are nice but the thosai itself is a disappointment. Not crispy at all. Too soft like soggy and the content is little. Perhaps because it is $3? I wouldnt come back for the thosai.

Yong Tau Foo @ Bagus Causeway Point

Review: Yong Tau Foo @ Bagus Causeway Point
Its a must try when you are at Bagus, Causeway Point. The choices are quite extensive and a plate of minimum 7 pieces will just costs you $5.20 with 50 cents more if you ask for a bowl of rice or yellow mee. But do check as some of the items costs more (ie not part of the 7 choices for the standard price). The sambal is nice. Always a good choice when you are lost for choice.

Mee Goreng Mama @ Marsiling Mall

Review: Mee Goreng Mama at Marsiling Mall
Ordered mixed mee goreng which cost $4/-. Short wait, reasonable portion and taste quite good. Not too and not too wet and the mee when prepared and served looks inviting. However, I don’t see not taste much meat in it which you can normally find in a mee that price.

Laksa @ Mukmin Bedok

A sudden craving for Laksa had me travelling quite a distance from my comfort zone in Chai Chee to Mukmin Restaurant at Blk 129 Bedok North Avenue 2. This nondescript stall tucked at a corner came highly recommended among the few Laksa sellers in Bedok. Truth be told it was a tad too salty for my liking. It could be better with more santan (coconut milk). The lack of enough santan brought out the fishiness of the gravy which rendered the dish overall salty. I reckon the stall is much better off with its Kacang Pool which quite a number of customers were ordering on this rainy day, Friday 8th January 2020. At $3, the Laksa was alright but the salty aftertaste lingered.
